My mom found one of my old sweatshirts buried in the closet. I think I made this with my mom when I was in the 4th grade. I’m pretty sure my sisters have similar sweatshirts somewhere around the house if they haven’t been thrown away already.
This brings back fond memories of asking my mom to make clothes for me like Halloween costumes or a new dress. She found some of those old Halloween costumes today as well.
I remember going to The Fabric Warehouse to pick out the patterns and fabric for our Halloween costumes. Sometimes my mom would let my sisters and I help make the costumes. Before she would finish them, we tried our costumes on. We had to be careful of the pins that held some parts together. After making the necessary changes, if any, she would finish the costume and voilà we were transformed into Pochantas, Mickey Mouse, a Snickers bar or Cat Woman.
Looking back at some of my old, homemade clothes I realize how much love and effort my mom put into making them look professional and it makes cherish these articles of clothing. I can’t keep all of them but the memories will remain.

Netflix sent me my PS3 disc!!!
I wasn’t expecting to find it waiting for me. Netflix didn’t send me an email that it was shipped. I currently use my TiVo to stream my Netflix tv shows and movies. I’m excited to see how the interface and qualify compare.
